Treatment Methods

Osteopaths use a variety of techniques to work towards relieving your symptoms and making you feel better overall with a positive affect on wellbeing of individuals as a whole. At our clinic we aim to assess, treat and help to prevent a wide range of issues which have or may occur.  Here are some of the different methods we use to help treat you when you come to us.

 

Please note before carrying out any treatments we do a thorough assessment and put together a specific treatment plan for you on an individual basis.

CRANIAL OSTEOPATHY

Cranial osteopathic treatment is described as gentle and relaxing for individuals. Osteopaths use a sense of touch which allows relaxation of tensions across the body either in the immediate moment or afterwards across the whole body. During the treatment session some individuals may become aware of different sensations such as aching, mild tension or sensitivity which gradually starts to disappear.

BIODYNAMICS

Biodynamic Therapy is a non-invasive, hands-on session for the whole body which is gentle.  The therapy is used to review the health of the whole human being and especially focuses on the nervous system. The ideology behind the session is that the Nervous System dictates all of the bodies function from head to toe. The Nervous System is constantly communicating with the body and sending signals and receiving them

DRY NEEDLING

Dry needling is an invasive treatment used by Osteopaths to improve tissue healing and ultimately restore muscle function. Fine needles are inserted into trigger points and tight muscles across the body. The treatment can be used to help manage low back pain, neck pain, sciatica, headaches, joint and spinal dysfunction and many other conditions.

CUPPING THERAPY

Cupping Therapy is used to help manage pain, inflammation, blood flow and is also used to support relaxation and wellbeing. Cupping Therapy is a process which the Osteopath will put special cups onto your skin for a few minutes to create a suction. There are two type of Cupping Therapy these are "Dry" and "Wet". In our clinic we use the "Dry Cupping".
